Test Handling of Modules and Assemblies

Automatic Testing of Housed Assembly Components

Often a test is installed to examine the exact function of the produced electronic device (End of Line).

The End of Line Test (EoL) demands excellent know-how of adapter fabrication. There are no limits to the variety of the devices to be tested. Multilateral contact-directions plus contact heads which center themselves to the UUT are common challenges here.

Module A         cell

The cell has a belt-entrance and a belt-exit. A gripper system lifts the UUT in and out of the adapter which is in test position. Under the belt is the insertion space for the measuring technique station. The front side of the cell has an adapter docking interface.

Module B         measuring technique station

The measuring technique station is capable of incorporating 19" measurement divices. All measuring-, communications- and supply-wires are lead by an automated interface to the adapter.

Module C         adapter station

The adapter station is divided in three functional levels. One level includes the interface to the measuring technique station with the wiring platform for additional electronics. In the middle of the adapter-cart is space for the contacting mechanics of the specific test specimen. A drawer allowes the manual placing of the UUT, on the opposite side a compartment is permitting the automatic loading by the cell-gripper-system. The top level is reserved for the control equipment.

3-Module Cell-Technology

Measuring Technique Station and Adapter Station can also be used in combination as a manual workplace apart from the automation-line.

With the 3-Module-Cell-Technology an automation can be implemented which is prepared for all kinds of tasks.
